For those who wish to be a little more adventurous then why not visit one of Orkney's Northern Isles. Each island is completely different from all the rest and is a small adventure in itself.
Rousay is famed for its archaological treasures and Wyre for Cubbie Roo's Castle and the ancient St Mary's Kirk, both are just a short ferry ride away and a regular service operates from Orkney Ferries Tingwall Terminal which is situated about 6 miles along the road from Stoo.
